Holy Wrinkled Shirt-tails, Batman!

There have been many new developments in the Life of Tim. First and foremost, THE CHRISTMAS TREE WAS TAKEN DOWN THIS PAST SATURDAY.

I found out on Easter Sunday that my trip to Honduras this summer had been postponed until next year because some of the team members were having financial difficulties. I, of course, was completely bummed, but it was simply not supposed to happen I guess. Then I was wondering if I should even consider finding another trip to go on, or was I supposed to stay state-side this summer. I was especially interested in going to Eastern Europe/Macedonia. So, I was sitting in church this past Sunday evening and the pastor began to speak about people in missions all over the world. Then at the end of the service he announced that 2 missionaries the church supports in Bosnia were there that night, and if anyone was interested in going on a trip to Bosnia this summer to see them afterward! Well, this was everything but a neon sign saying "GO!". So, the first part of July I will be in Bosnia teaching English to people my age, and doing some rebuilding of some of the war-stricken areas in the northern part of the country. Good thing I took those Russian courses, because Serbian and Croatian are Slavic languages as well.

In other news, my appeal to get financial aid for this quarter has failed, so I won't be taking classes until the summer, which will again be totally out-of-pocket. I am told that I will receive some financial aid in the Fall, but we shall see. On the other hand, there is plenty of money to be made during the time I would have been in class!
