I have a shiny little sony thing on my desk. Which not only did I manage to file transfer with only a few-minor-half-an-hour-wasting-hitches, but also runs nice and cold and causes me NO problems. NONE.

letters appear on screen as I write them. - which, you know is useful, because entirely blindly touch typing, then having to wait for all the letters to appear on screen five minutes later when you type incredibly fast, so there's pretty much a paragraph of lag. Do not take this for granted, people. It's a magical occurance.
I haven't quite mastered the scroll, yet, but having yahoo? and FOUR OD IS BACK. This is possibly the best news EVER.

Yes, I'm excited. I also got to go and talk to my lecturers (all two of them) about my diss today. I have advice, books to read and lots of shiny thingummies. I also am getting an email and have to go see Paul Madrell. Who is a kind of fantastic, but vaguely scary man - he's the most graceful person I've seen in my life. But is also kinda terrifying. I think he might be Crowley or something like that.
