so far from interesting.

Evening all! I have...actually, not much to say. Three things, mainly.

1) sancta_terra! Good luck in France with Frenchy things and Strasbourg and German telly. :D I want post when I get back to Wales.

2) I have a timetable! A shiny, shiny EMPTY timetable. Because Aberystwyth delivered and BOY did they deliver?

Mondays have Soviet Union as a World Power from 12 to 1, then Politics in Russia since 1953 from 1 to 2.

Tuesdays have Politics in Russia 12 to 1 and Soviet Union... from 3 to 4.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are EMPTY. BARE. LOVE IT.

Admittedly, there's a disclaimer. I have to throw in seminars and dissertation whatsits into the mix. So it's not entirely empty. But seriously, Aber, you get points for this timetable.

p.s. I just looked up semester two. And my zero sum life has scored again.

Nationalism in theory and practice is Monday five-til-six and Wednesday NINE AM. BITCHING HELL.

Intelligence and International Security is alright, Tuesday at 2 and Thursday at three.

3) I was bored. So decided to do this:

You’ve somehow acquired a magical dimension-splicing conversion van and are planning an epic cross-country road trip with your friends and fandom. First, pick ten travel buddies from anywhere -- real life, fiction, OCs, celebrities, whatever. Then answer these questions to see how cracktastic your adventure turns out to be.

Because yeah, win me. Win. I've decided to do a collection of characters I have played multifandom wise. Pretty sure I've got enough. Might throw in a few I plan on playing.

1. Edward Sexby. (the devil's whore and, wow, actual history - my rendition of him here: accountsettled)
2. Guy Secretan (Green Wing - swissdonkey)
3. Ponder Stibbons (Discworld - redo_fromstart)
4. Bernard Black (Black Books - alcoholit)
5. Sergeant Neil Howie (The Wicker Man - kingfor_aday)
6. Lucius Malfoy (Harry Potter - I have several renditions of this fella)
7. Captain Findthee Swing (Discworld again - pleasesmirk
8. Daniel Khan (City of Vice and here's one I've never played, but love all the same)
9. Paddy Maguire (Shameless, hell yes)
10. The Master. The most recent one. Just so him and Sexby can have John Simm twin fights.

1. The GPS has an obnoxious voice. What does 9 (Paddy) name it, and is 7 (Swing) bothered by it?
Paddy? Would probably call it 'you fuckin' useless fuckin' piece of crap' and throw it out the window. Swing is perturbed because he spent so long carefully setting the directions, and probably trying to break it into talking like he talks. This is probably why Paddy hates it so much.

2. 1, 4, 6 and 8 (Sexby, Bernard, Lucius and Khan) are all forced to share the cramped back row of seats. How do they arrange themselves?
This. Is an epic fight. Well, Bernard would be drunk and useless, so Sexby and Khan would push him on to the floor. Lucius would demand, with threats of wand violence, that the muggles give him all the space he wants. Sexby would probably respond to this by pointing a pistol in his face. Khan would have to step in and negotiate taking turns at being the most-threatening-one-on-the-back-seat.

They would all rest their feet obnoxiously on top of Bernard.

3. 5 and 10 (Howie and The Master) are sitting next to each other. Who gets the window seat?
Okay, so the Master would win out. Because he's the master and obnoxious enough to care. I really doubt Howie would give a crap. People aren't trying to sacrifice him to a pagan god, he'll sit away from the window, it's no big deal.

4. 3 and 4 (Ponder and Bernard) are invading one another’s personal space. Who gets annoyed first, and how do they deal with it?
Ponder...would probably be the first to get annoyed. Because Bernard's probably being himself and being incredibly drunk and...well, I thought the other three put him on the floor, but eh. Ponder would sigh and get Sexby to deal with it. Because can he really be bothered with a drunk bookshop owner? Probably not. He's probably trying to fix the GPS that Paddy threw out the window.

5. What habit does 8 (Khan) have that might get on 2’s (Guy's) nerves?
Probably being quiet, a little effeminate, but quite serious about it too. Pretty much being everything that Guy's not. I'm pretty sure that it'd work the other way around. Unless we're being realistic here, because that 18th century policeman smell is probably not that nice.

6. Who’s more likely to start up a round of "99 Bottles," 1 or 7 (Sexby or Swing)?
Good lord, neither. It'd be disturbing if Swing did it, and incredibly out of sync. Sexby might... not. For the sake of argument, we'll say Sexby.

7. Where is number 7 (Swing)?
WATCHING. Watching and measuring you, no doubt. Creepo.

8. You stop at a gas station and 5 and 3 (Howie and Ponder) make a snack-and-supply run. What do they bring back?
This cracked me up. Because it'd be the most sensible snack run in existence. They'd pay for everything, get sensible food like sandwiches and fruit and things. Actually, scratch the fruit. If Howie has a freak out in the back of the car... But yeah, they'd bring the 1973 version of healthy. And probably one of Mr Dibbler's hotdogs which was acquired through something 'quantum'. Ponder had to stop Howie asking him for a street vendor's licence, but onwards!

9. 6 and 8 (Lucius and Khan) brought CDs. What’s on their playlist?
Oh. Well, you just went and picked two of the guys without any idea what a CD is. Well done. So, instead, I'll tell you what those who brought CDs because they knew what they were brought. Bernard didn't bring any, he wants to read his book in silence. Paddy brought lots and lots of Celtic riverdancey business. And will shoot you if you call him a stereotype. No joke. Guy would have brought 80s power ballads and lots and lots of Queen. The Master would have brought... well, I'm pretty sure he has his own play list. Scissor Sisters. XP

10. Who’s the more notorious backseat driver, 2 or 10 (Guy or The Master)?
I'm pretty sure Guy would insist on being the ACTUAL driver, because he thinks he's awesome like that. He is, of course, not. The Master would probably devise all sorts of complicated plots to oust him from the driver's seat whilst backseat driving the whole way.
