They seemed to all need to believe it, so we danced and smiled and paddled hard beneath it

Girls, girls, girls!

Two months ago, my friend Lindsay from home was all set to visit me here in Columbus, and then I came down with the plague, so we had to put the kibbosh on our plans. This weekend, however, is Gallery Hop once again, and not only is Lindsay driving out, she's bringing Leslie with her! Lindsey (note the change in vowel) is coming up from Athens to spend Saturday afternoon arting with us in my dining room area, and rumor has it that Megan, who told me she was honing her Crayola skills over break, is planning on joining us as well.

I'm thrilled. I love my friends.

Recently, on www.abeautifulmess.typepad.com/, I saw this and wanted to make some little watercolor portraits of my own, so that will probably be my project for Saturday. Hopefully, I'll remember to post our works! Lindsey is bringing glitter glue pens. I should get some cream soda and one of those amazing veggie take-home pizzas. So much fun to be had. I am in dire need of another incredible weekend like the one two weeks ago, only this time it's perfect that all my friends are swooping in and I won't be on my own.

A few small updates, nothing exciting...

I've quit my job and decided to become an astronaut, despite the fact that Miramax just optioned my life story. They want Julia Roberts to play me, since I will be off gallivanting in space, but honestly, I don't think her mouth is quite big enough. In addition, I won three Juno Awards on Sunday for my experimental air guitar album (yes, I'm secretly Canadian), and I'm carrying Dave Grohl's baby. Again.

This is no April Fool's joke. All of those things are real. Sorry, Mom. I should have told you I'm Canadian.

Hey look! I made you a playlist!
