Awesome day!
My mom popped a random question at my brother and me this morning while we're doing school. Just outa the blue she goes, "Why don't y'all see if Jacob would like to come stay with y'all?" I nearly fell outa my chair! Jacob, an internet friend of ours, lives in Australia!!! Mom's been talking about possibly having an exchange student stay with us. But for her to actually just voice that we should see if Jacob would be interested in coming to the States. . .I was speachless! Rare event for those that know me. She said he could stay for like 6 months! Which would just totally rock!! He'd have to stay that long to make the flight and getting over the time difference worth it. We haven't said anything to him about it yet.
Another thing that happened to make the day was that Mom told me to invite my pen-pal's family to come down here if they wanted a cheap vacation. I e-mailed Mrs. Char on the spot and told her what mom said. I haven't heard anything back from her yet, but I hope they'll consider it. It would be so fun to actually lay eyes on them!! I've written Ian for, I think, 2 years now and it's like he's family. I've been hearing about all the little things his now 2-year-old sister does since she was a few months old. He sent me a pic of him and Crystal that is sitting on my desk. Danielle and Shannon tell him to tell me hey. I've read all about their move from California to Missouri. He tells me things he does with his youth group. A few letters back he told me he's 5' 10" now, which is how tall my dad is. Ok, he basically tells me everything. Gosh, I want them to come so bad! Of course, I know they might not. A girl can always wish, though.
