OOC: Otherworld notes!
If Fox is brought to Meren and she experiments on him to find out the differences between Returned Dead and Undead, I always thought she’d remove one of his limbs. An arm. See how/if it grows back. Of course it would, because that’s what happens with Ret-dead, ONLY...Fox is a fox, right? Foxes are already bound to the Second Death slightly (thanks to Rufus’ backfired deal upon entering the Otherworld) so with the added dose of fae blood it tips them even further towards what Rufus was once upon a time - a Kumiho.
Basically, Fox’s arm isn’t going to grow back how you’d expect. It would have those nasty thick nails that are more like claws and his skin would be completely black leading up from his fingers and fading around his wrist. Maybe. He might even have very fine fur there. Examples of what I mean can be seen best in Dawn’s Pinterest section.

Those of Annwn jump at any chance they get to ‘reclaim’ one of their own and they view all descendants of Rufus as belonging to the Second Death. Part of Fox dies and they refuse to 'rebuild' him quite how he was because they're mostly jealous twisted creatures. Among other reasons...but I won't go into all that right now.
Now how glad am I that I just chose for it NOT to be Tod who loses his arm during the current big battle?! Not that I would have loved him any less...but you know...those fucking claws might have been problematic for our gunslinger! (*coughs* because that’s what I was thinking, really it was....)
