hey guys!!!!! im back!! sadly I didn’t wanna leave C H DUB C! yesterday I wanted to spend another day with all the friends that I made like lanette and Brittney and Devin and pat!!! god I had so much fun I wish it didn’t have to end.
k well heres a quick over view of my week
Saturday:: left from Bridgeport at 8.30 got to Maumee, Ohio at 6.30
Sunday:: left Maumee at 7.30 got to Milwaukee at like 1.30 I think and we got settled in to our room that we shared with 2 other groups so there was a total of 21 people sharing one class room!!!! hehe k so then we had program and we met the people who we were gonna work with for the week and I was put in a group with 3 people from Michigan one person from Illinois and our group leader was from Milwaukee and then there was me the lone person from Philly and I was the oldest person in the group hehe... then we ate dinner lasagna yum and then we had evening program heres and list of the things that we did at program...

then we had free time and we went to see some fireworks then we went back to the school and went to bed hehe
Monday:: woke up at 6.15 got dressed ate breakfast went to morning program and then we left for our free day… we were supposed to go to the beach for our free day but it liked rained all day so we ended up going to the movies and we saw Herbie fully loaded and Madagascar… they were both good and well we did go to the beach but the water was to cold to go in hehe… then we went out to dinner at Applebee’s and Mandy sent me a text message and she’s like im at the fireworks and bermans here lol! K so then we went back to the school and I played Frisbee and basketball with some people and then went to bed hehe
Tuesday:: woke up at 6.15 got dressed ate breakfast went to morning program and then I had to pack everyone in my group lunches and then we left for our worksite… I got to work at a homeless shelter for the week so that was really cool… when we got there we met with a lot of the people who belong to the shelter and then we sorted clothing and stuff so that was fun hehe we were throwing all the towels on this one guy who was in our group just because it was pissing him off hehe then we ate our lunch and did other stuff but I forget what we did then we went back to the school and some of us played Frisbee then it was dinner time and I don’t remember what we ate but whatever it was yummy!! Hehe… then it was evening program and Devin’s group put on a skit it was about this guy played by matt who was the owner of a small store and he had a dream that Jesus was in and Jesus had told him that on Friday that week he would come into the store so the week had passed and then it was Friday and matt had been waiting for Jesus to come in and he never came in but there were these three people and the first person was an old woman who had a cut on her arm but didn’t have enough money for buy any bandages to put over it and matt gave her the stuff and then after that a young boy played by Devin came in and he was poor and he was admiring a shirt but yet again didn’t have enough money to buy it so matt offered to give him the job of sweeping the sidewalk in front of the store to earn the money for the shirt and then after that a girl came in looking for a hotel to stay in and he let her stay in his extra room so then that night in his dream Jesus came again and matt like flipped out on him because he said that Jesus never came to visit him that day and he had his hopes all high and that Jesus let him down but Jesus said in reply that he was there in the three people that came into the store that e had helped out that day… it was a pretty good skit… then free time and then bed!
Wednesday:: at 6.15 got dressed ate breakfast went to morning program and then I had to pack everyone in my group lunches and jenny, the kitchen manager asked me to take some of out left over food from like our dinners and breakfasts to give it to the shelter and then we left for our worksite… we got there and we met with the same people as the day before and then we sat in on an anger management class and then we did some gardening work like pulling weeds and stuff like that and then a couple of the people from the shelter told us their stories as to why they are homeless… went back to the school had some free time and played volleyball ate dinner cheeseburgers and then we had evening program and lanette’s group did a skit it was about this guy played by Nathan and that these two people from his church came to his house asking him to direct the play for their church festival thingy and he wouldn’t do it so then in his dream he woke up in a grave yard and the headstones said talents and other things like that (it meant that he was wasting his talents) k so then this guy played by Cory came out and was like read this and Nathan read it and it was saying sometime like (name’s) talents and gifts lie here… and I really don’t remember what else happened during that skit hehe and then free time and the bed!
Thursday:: at 6.15 got dressed ate breakfast went to morning program and then I had to pack everyone in my group lunches and then we left for our worksite and well instead of going directly to our worksite we went to this place called St. James Meal Program which is a place where the homeless and the low income families can go and get breakfast free of charge and we got to know what it was like to wait in like with hundreds of people waiting for food and then we got put to work haha and we had to keep the milk and water pitchers filled and then we went to the shelter and we went around the neighbor hood where the shelter was and we collected the trash and let me tell u there was a lot of trash k so then we went back and ate lunch and then this woman Tracey came to talk to us about social injustices that are against the homeless so that was fun I guess went back to the school played volleyball and then ate dinner and then we had evening program early because of 4 corners and Devin’s group did another skit and this one was about this guy(Devin) and his “girlfriend” and they got into a fight and then the girl pushed Devin and then Devin went over to this other group and sat with them and then Jesus went over and the there were a bunch of people standing in a row with signs around their necks and they were like gossip sex drugs and stuff like that and she just kept turning to them to get rid of her problems and the last one was suicide and she kept walking over to it but she kept turning away and after a while the person wearing the suicide sign grabbed girls hand and circled around her and the group of people that Devin was sitting with were trying to get the girl away from all of the stuff that was corrupting her and Jesus went through the group of people and saved her from everything… it was cool then we went to 4 corners and I went to the praying for others part and I prayed for all the people that I know who were going through some tough times and it was really emotional and well ill admit it I cried… then we split up into our youth groups and we went off to a designated place and we talked about what we had done that week and we talked about what we were going to take away from the experience and what we still needed to work on and then we got these necklaces with a cross made of nails on it… then we had some free time and then it was bed time!
Friday:: LAST DAY! ::tear:: we woke up normal time ate breakfast went to our last morning program and then I went into the caf to get our lunches and Jenny gave us more food to take over to the shelter and it was a lot of food!! like 2 big boxes of it hehe k so then we got to the shelter and we gave them all the food and then we went outside and we were talking to one of the guys who stays at the shelter during the day and he was about to tell us his story as to why he ended up being homeless and then he was interrupted by a couple people who came to work on skits with us and she split us up in groups and I was working with pat and we did this one skit about a homeless man who was walking around a mall not bothering anyone just minding his own business and a security guard kicking him out of the mall because he was homeless… well pat was the security guard and one of the people in the shelter played the homeless man and I just played someone who stood up for the person after he got kicked out and I was sayin stuff like he wasn’t bothering any one and like it’s a free country and pat’s reply to that was “not in mine” we were doing improv so I didn’t know what he was going to say in reply to what I was saying and I was just shocked when he said that I couldn’t think of anything else to say… and then one of the people who was formerly at the shelter and we were just layin on the grass and we were throwing grass at each other and I got grass down my shirt haha k so after that we went on a tour of the neighborhood that we were in and we walked by all the places where we had picked up all the trash the day before and it was covered in trash again… then after that we went back to the school and on our way back I took pics of all the people in my group and we got back to the school and I went up to my room and got all my stuff and carried it down to the car and I was walking down the hall way with Brittney and I was like I don’t wanna go home yet and then she’s like I don’t want u to leave yet and earlier that day I was talking to Devin and we were both like I don’t wanna leave yet we were both having so much fun… I just wanted to stay for like another week with all the same people I would have loved that!
Saturday:: we got home around 3-3.30 so we basically missed my cousins wedding but me and Danny were to tired to go anyway lol so we stayed home and then we ate cold pizza for dinner and then we went down to the feast and we rode the tilt-a-whirl and we had it going really good haha and we got some pizza fritta yum!!! and I saw Joe man fire man hahah!!!! then we went home and watched some TV then the rest of my family came home from the wedding and I told them about my week and then they told me about the wedding and about how we think were going to my aunts house in 2 weeks so that’ll be cool I haven’t been to her house in forever and I asked my mom today if my aunt still had the tire swing at her house hehe that defiantly says how longs its been since ive been there hehe the last time I went is when I was still little enough for go on the swing lol
So I had a great week!!!!! I can’t wait to do it again next year it was defiantly a great experience.
im gonna miss all of u guys so much!!!

So I had fun hope I didn’t miss too much well I didn’t miss one big thing a guy who all of us at KK had been praying for all year died this week R.I.P. Dan… but u know what they say only the GREAT die young... not just the good because u could say that about anyone but he truly was a great guy even though I didn’t know him personally from what Mr. Cunningham told us about him and how he said that he was always asking about us I just know that he had to be a great guy
