A CC-free Magic Town Downtown in process.

GoS has some interesting threads.. it inspired me to make the downtown Magic Town I wanted for a very long time. So, expect some hood spam in the next few weeks. c:

This is just a first version of the hood, just the general outlines and to see which lot comes where. I'll probably will make huuuuge mountains surrounding it, so that it seems like an unreachable place for non-wizards and witches. I've exactly written down how long the roads have to be in SimCity4, and it's not like the placing the roads takes really long. xD

I always thought Magic Town was amazing, but now that I looked at the lot in the corner right at the bottom (97 Calamity Forest).. it was pretty messy. Random fences, trees, flowers, barrels everywhere. I had no idea where to start so the first thing I did, was checking how the lot was facing the road and planted some high trees at the back of the lot. I kept the exact same shape of the building, but as we don't have awesome outdoor toilets in the Sims 2, I built a little building for the toilets as well. I translated the random fences into a normal fence that just surrounds the lot. Then I removed little pieces of it. There has to be logic in my buildings.

When I finished the two buildings, and the sitting spots outside, I started to fill up the place with flowers and plants, especially on the sides and the surroundings of the buildings. I'm not completely happy with the inside of the main building yet, so you guys won't get to see it yet. (That and I haven't taken pictures of it yet).

There is not really much to do on this lot; you can buy groceries, play chess, there's a little reading corner inside the building and there's a firedancer to look at. I wonder if it's possible to make default clothing for the firedancer; I really like it and how he plays with fire, it looks like magic, but.. that Twikki outfit. Doesn't fit.

This is how it looks from the outside, in a downtown hood.. I'm pretty happy with the scenery, so that won't change much. And here are some random pics from when I was first testing it (Of course I had unreachable things I always do that.)

The empty space to the right was a bit too empty for me, and a table and chairs have been added since I took the pictures.

One of the three entrances of the building. I like to call it the main entrance because it's the entrance you reach first. xD

Pretty fire, pretty firedancer, not so pretty clothes..

And a pic I took in build mode, from the front. Note that the lot isn't in my hood at the moment, I build somewhere else. It's a bit difficult to build with all those trees from the neighbourhood surrounding it. This is built on a 2x3 lot. I do have all ep's and sp's and happily use them all, too. :3
