Look, it's Studio Town!
EDIT; the pictures look a little bad, especially the darker ones. I forgot that I had the Sims 1 open as well, and the Sims 1 can't handle as many colours. So it reduces colours. :')
I've found a new project, and as with Magic Town, I'm going to recreate Studio Town in the Sims 2, with all EPs and SPs but without any CC. I have not made a terrain yet. Not all the buildings you see are actually accessible (the hotels?) in the background and such. But I do want to include them somehow. Maybe they're going to be apartments, or maybe even rowhouses. I'm not sure yet. There is also a possibility I'm going to split lots up, because they're all so very huge and our computers will not like it. Still a lot of things to think about! Anyway, this is the KWLW Studios; one of the smaller lots in Studio Town.
This lot has a pretty - yes, boring, the Sims 1 roofs only had one style - golden roof. I used the yellow roof from the game, but I bet that this bright yellow orange roof by ZeroDark and CuriousB will fit a lot better. I know I'll be replacing it with that roof in my game. xD
As you can see, it has a lunchroom / restaurant, the toilets up there and a VIP room, only accessible by celebrities and famous sims. Then on the right, we have a sort of lounge room where you can buy posters, a set of a film studio and a small room where you can look to the actors. That's not entirely going to work in the Sims 2. So I changed the set into a cinema, and the VIP in a kitchen so we have an actual restaurant. The lounge is still a lounge, but you can buy magazines and computer games. The colours are kept the same, the general feel of the lot is kept the same (as much as possible) and general placement is kept the same as well. I had to squish it a little, since the original lot was 25x30.
So here we have the restaurant. There's a buffet table, it was also there in the original lot.
(Why yes, I put my Bodyshop defaults in. :D)
The bathroom. That horsie is gone, it generated an error because I did certain things with certain cheats and the game didn't like that. The error is gone, now. So is the horse. *sob*
Moving onto the lounge of the cinema.
And what's a cinema without the possibility to buy snacks?
...I couldn't resist.
And the cinema itself. I'd recommend putting a larger television in there to give it more of a gigantic screen feel. Veranka has an awesome movie screen! A note; the second row is not available for seating (the ones close to the fence on the platform.) The sims will complain if you direct them there. Still, there are 15 chairs out of 20 that do work, and it's purely aesthetics.
Going outside, there's a breakdancer for all your sims to enjoy, as well as two harvestable orange trees. They will respawn with fruit every single time you enter the lot!
And the obligatory fountain to fill up space.
Apart from the things I mentioned, everything's accessible and works as it should.
Although...
So that's the KWLW Studios! Obviously not all movie sets will be replaced with cinemas; there are plenty of things I haven't been able to put in Magic Town, but will be able to do so in Studio Town. When this is eventually finished, I will create a primary hood for this, a Shopping District subhood and possibly a Downtown one as well. A little bit of variety can't hurt. :)
And finally; the download. As said before, completely CC free, but requires all EPs and SPs. Although that shouldn't be a problem anymore, with EA's Ultimate Collection.
