An Introduction
Week 1: Evercreech ||
Week 1: Barnes ||
Week 1: Twiddle&Rosier || Week 1: Potts & Jonasson
Two very unlikely friends, at first glance. If they hadn't crossed each other's paths by mere coincidence, they would've never even said so much as a polite hello when meeting each other in the street. However, they're more alike than you would possibly think.
Feliks is quite a complicated man; even though his aspiration is romance, it's his dream to marry and have a Golden Anniversary. A marriage until death - or at least, elderhood. Even for family sims this is a want sometimes hard to accomplish, but it would be nearly impossible for Feliks. His secondary aspiration is fortune. He has a love for hats and therefore fancies other people with good taste in headwear. As he's rather clumsy when it comes to electronics, he likes a partner who's good at all of the mechanical bits. However, witches creep him out. Feliks is both evil and a kleptomaniac, but please don't feel too badly about him. It's not his fault he grew up like that. It's in his nature. He's also dramatic, a party animal and charismatic. With his four neat points, five outgoing points, four active and three nice, but above all, nine playful points, he hopes to get a taste of nightlife once the town blooms.
His friend Geoffrey has an entirely different desire; he wants to become a Hall of Famer, in other words; reach the top of the athletic career. How he's going to do that, no one's sure since he only has five active points and there are people far better than him. He also has two neat points - Feliks isn't going to like that - five outgoing points, three playful points and no less than ten nice points. He aspires pleasure, although his secondary aspiration is popularity. He loves hardworking, freckled people - gender is no issue - but zombies aren't his forte. He's like Feliks not good with anything electronic; he's a technophobe. He's also frugal and kind of a slob. He's not all bad, though; he's also good and on top of that, a great kisser. Feliks knows all about it.
Neither of them were good cooks; they tended to eat out, back in Appaloosa Plains. However, as there wasn't a restaurant or even a single café in sight, they had to learn it eventually. However, for now, they had stocked up on canned food and iced vitamin juice.
Just like the others, they started with a garden. Even if they didn't know how to cook yet, they needed to stock up on food for the winter.
As there wasn't a lot to do in Violent Fields, and couples were forming already, Feliks decided to brush up on his charismatic skills. He needed to talk someone into bed, and possibly, marriage. He wasn't desparate, but he never had a proper partner who lasted longer than a few months.
Gardening wasn't a favourite hobby of either of them, but it had to be done. Usually it was Feliks who offered himself for the noble but dirty task of pulling out the weeds. Geoffrey got himself engaged and there was a fair chance the two friends would each go their separate ways. Although it was inevitable, Feliks would rather not think about it.
Their cooking didn't improve much. But no one was expecting wonders in a day.
Feliks with his playful personality, had a hard time adjusting to life in the wasteland and had to learn to enjoy himself, without bothering his friend for a game of chess.
With his fiance being heavily pregnant, Geoffrey took it upon himself to learn how to sew clothes. So far all he was able to make were potholders, but everyone had to start somewhere.
Feliks woke up with a nervous feeling in his stomach, as if something was about to happen today.
However, aside from Phoebe stealing their news paper, it was just as unremarkable as the day before.
Geoffrey's untidy habits seemed to have attracted an unwelcome guest...
And the two men were lucky they didn't leave the front door open. If they had, they might have had an enormous problem. But now, the unwanted guest took their leave.
In the evening, Fabian walked by. He had swapped his shirt for a long sweater that also covered his neck, but he couldn't hide the belly he seemed to have acquired in the past week.
It also couldn't cover the condition he was currently in.
None of them were unfazed when Fabian transformed right in front of them, and even Feliks had to admit it freaked him out, at first. He wasn't unfamiliar with the werewolf concept - rumours were there was a werewolf clan located east from Appaloosa Plains - it just caught him by surprise.
Valerie, who was the most shocked - she had never met a supernatural sim in her life, and now she was surrounded by them! - seeked comfort and found it in the form of Geoffrey.
A comfort Erin wouldn't have approved of.
While Feliks shared a tidbit of the rumours he grew up in as a boy with his new friend the werewolf, Geoffrey took his affair to an higher level. He hadn't seen Erin in days and she would never find out, anyway. What was the harm?
It was just a cuddle or two.
Feliks finally found himself a worthy opponent in the mighty game of chess.
The following day, Fabian came by, wanting to explain what had happened last night. Both men were adjusted to the idea they had a werewolf living across the street and particularly Geoffrey was interested in the story of how it all happened. He vowed to never touch a telescope, though; he wouldn't want to be a werewolf, and as Fabian stated, there wasn't a cure. At least, not yet. He was searching for one, but with each night, the desire for a cure grew less and less. Geoffrey also noted the man was more open in general, and less serious. It was odd to see someone's personality shift like that, right before your eyes.
Feliks had no idea about the affair and he too fell victim to Valerie's charm.
She wás very charming, and after all, it was just an innocent, onesided romance. Valerie didn't look like she wanted to settle down. Yet, maybe he could change her mind.
He had fallen in love. With the most gracious Valerie Steward from Starlight Shores, who had lost everything and now grabbed every single opportunity.
Geoffrey - not oblivious to their natural attraction for each other - needed to take a break and decided to end the plants. In the rain. He felt slightly guilty, but was also mad at his friend, although he couldn't really explain why.
He stayed up all night, just so he wouldn't hear their voices.
Bonnie decided to check up on the; after the recent burglaries she wanted to talk to everyone, even if that meant she had to visit Feliks Potts, who clearly hated her.
Luckily it was Geoffrey who greeted her, although he was quick in expressing his dislike for zombies.
She tried to strike a polite conversation, and Feliks tried to stay polite as well. He wasn't hating her because of what she was, but he just didn't like her attitude. Some people just rubbed you the wrong way, and Bonnie was one of them.
It finally escalated in a fight. It was bound to happen.
It was a long fight, and Geoffrey had no idea what to do. He probably should've tried to stop them, but he couldn't. He was too scared. He cursed himself for being a coward. In the end, his friend lost. He seemed sore, and all Geoffrey could offer him was a bowl of cereal. It was all they had left in the fridge and Feliks wasn't a cuddly person.
He had also prepared the man a bath.
Feliks still didn't have any luck catching butterflies or fireflies.
After five long days, she finally stopped by. Erin.
They had a lot of things to catch up and Erin was telling him about how her life had changed sificantly. He could've guessed that without her telling him that. She looked so very different and it was in a way hard to look at her and still trying to imagine the woman he had fallen in love with. In a way, he was also scared for their children; her hair was gone and her skin was green, leaves and roots circling around her legs and arms, leaves sprouting out of her head. Maybe he was just scared of the idea, but he wanted his children to look normal.
However, although she looked different, she still was the same Erin. If he closed his eyes, she was there; the woman he wanted to grow old with. And maybe he could get used to the idea he was going to marry a plantsim. He just needed time.
The following day, Bonnie took her revenge by kicking over the trashcan; the combination of spoiled food, weeds and unripe tomatoes made even her nose wrinkle. She just was so angry at everything that had happened the night before, and she didn't have her anger quite under control.
Valerie also came by, but unlike Bonnie wasn't there out of ill will.
Valerie and Geoffrey tried to ignore each other and avoided to even glance at the other; neither of them wanted to spoil the other's relationship.
Feliks couldn't shut his mouth, though. He had seen how the two were acting towards each other and he wasn't dumb. So he told Erin about his suspicions. Erin was surprisingly cool about the news.
Valerie just couldn't help herself and kissed Geoffrey full on the mouth. The man answered the kiss; both of them knew it was not so much a kiss out of passion and romance, but a goodbye kiss. If that meant they would lose their current partner, then... so be it. It was better to be honest.
If Erin was disappointed, she didn't tell him. However, she gladly accepted the dare of Feliks to prank him and let him suffer for a bit.
Geoffrey definitely needed to work on his loyalty. He also needed to work on being less lazy and clean his dirty plates right away.
Feliks went outside. Thinking about the previous day, and what had happened. Would this mean he and Valerie were together? He had never asked her officially, and she didn't either. She still seemed as if she didn't want to settle down, and Feliks didn't want to be disappointed by her answer if he did ask her. So for now, he let it be like this. It could be worse.
