It's time for one of those "EE IT'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY" posts! I've been for a week to Berlin - which was awesome - and now I have to work a lot on my CiJ gift. I'm very excited about my Santee (we're friends, actually, and they've been guessing on who their Santa is, mentioning my name multiple times OTL) and I'll probably send it somewhat later in the delivery week. But... knowing them, they won't mind. I'll be on time. *fingers crossed!*
When I saw my Santee I was very excited, but I also had no idea what to make for them. Then another friend, who I told who I had, had this wonderful idea. "Make a sort of Magic Town themed hood, but then as a vacation destination!" It's pretty funny they mentioned that, because last year I got gifted a vacation destination by the lovely and talented Sofy,
Volestea! :D My Santee likes maxis match, etc etc, and they had a lot of likes relating to the three EAxis vacation destinations, so I decided to give it a go. I created a new terrain for them;

and as you can see I've already begun filling it up. They like pretty small lots, so no lots are larger than 3x3 - except for the beach lots. On the small island, I'm planning to make a mini EAxis mix; 4 Takemizu lots, 4 Three Lakes lots and 4 Twikki lots. I have for all three sorts a hotel, a restaurant and two community lots where you can do all sorts of things. I'm almost done with those, I only have to do two remaining Three Lakes lots. I do have to play test everything yet, though, but I'm going to do that when all the lots are done. It's not something I'm looking forward to. x)

(this is one of the Twikki community lots. first time ever I used those building pieces for the vulcano and pyramid thingie.)
On the main island there will be some residential houses, lots of little rowhouses, and a few Magic Town-esque community lots, but then a lot brighter and meant to be played by daylight, although it's ofcourse also going to be playable by night. That's what I really need to work on, but now that I'm back from Berlin I have renewed energy to work on those lots! My Santee likes no CC to minimal CC lots and that's why I decided to build this entire vacation destination CC free - except for the fact that I'm using the Life Stories Build and Buy bundle. It's a favourite of theirs. (I'm also going to include it in the download.)
I'm also going to offer the terrain as a separate terrain, maybe the hood as a main neighbourhood as well and all the lots can be separatedly installed as well.
Aside from a few locals, I'm not going to ship any sims with it. The entire terrain is going to be decorated with Maxis items only.
But I thought that wasn't enough! And I found a cute little outdoors set - slaved, yay - and some pillows. I used Sims 3 textures for the fabrics; they're pretty nice to use. I'm possible going to add some stuff to the set, like plants and lights. There are also going to be some paintings. And probably some walls. They adore walls.

So yes! That's what I'm working on this year. No Bodyshop items for once, because Bodyshop is not compatible with my Windows 8 and just keeps crashing. I may look into it after CiJ, but for now I think this is a decent gift. This post is screened, meaning my Santee - who's in my friends list - can't see these posts. They'll become public after I send it to them.
I haven't seen a lot of other people's CiJ posts and I'm really curious how everyone else is doing! Can't wait until it's sharing week! :D
