And another one! Sadly, no description because I can't find the descriptions of the community lots on the internet and my game's in Dutch now. However, I'm planning on reinstalling Making Magic in English and I'll update the posts with the descriptions.
Coldwind Meadows (and Clowntastic Land) are the magic town equivalents of Disneyland or Six Flags or whatever. There are lots and lots of fun stuff to do and they're one of my favourite lots. The community lots are becoming quite a challenge, because I don't want them to become repetitive. I already have plans for the last one and I think I balanced things out between the community lots quite nicely.
One word of caution; when I playtested this lot and there were 15+ sims on there, the lot began to lag quite badly. (Although it could also possibly be the weather, because it's really hot in my room here.) I suggest you remove a few fire blasters and flowers/plants/trees if you experience a lot of lag, because I planted a lot of them.
Not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited to show off this lot!
Our starting point, near the restaurant and the toilets.
When you walk out at the backside, you stumble upon a few flag poles. You'll find those everywhere.
The gaming area, with on the other side some snack machines. Also pictured, the chess area.
There's also a wishing well in the corner.
The main attraction however is the stage, where rock bands perform at least a few times a week.
Toilets.
Near the stage, you find a little corner to play mahjong.
And if you just want to rest a little bit, there are a few benches to sit on. Enjoy the view.
As you might know, the balloons pop after some time. The fun thing is - I playtested this - when the balloons have popped and you re-enter the lot, the balloons reset themselves. So, you don't have to replace the balloons everytime you've been there. Awesome, not?
