I'm too lazy for an introduction right now, so let's just start with the house.
I follow
maxis_taste for quite a few weeks but never posted, hehe. It's only recently I took interest in building and decorating houses, but I really like doing it now and decided to give it a go. I chose for Una, the FreeTime lot...the one that will be covered in darkness every time you save it. Sigh.
I didn't really have a theme, I just went with what I liked. I always do. xD
I replaced all doors and windows (or at least, the outside ones). Although I didn't mean it to be that bright, it just... happened. At daylight the white is really blinding your eyes when you stare at it for too long.
The room I started with was the bathroom. The untouchable objects was the counter in the middle. The mirror and the painting on the other side of the walls made it really difficult to get decent shots, though.
This is the kitchen / dining room / hall. The objects I wasn't allowed to touch were the fridge and the piano.
I think I tried about twenty colours before I went with orange... xD
The livingroom. I replaced the fireplace. The blue couch was the untouchable object in this room.
The stars are there for no reason, other than that I like those stars so much. xD
Also an attempt to use an OMSP for the first time ever...
We move over to the.. I think it originally was a hobby room... The untouchable item was the easel. I also don't know what happened with the poor thing in the second picture.
The last room is the bedroom, which had doors to the porch on the backside of the house. I thought those doors made no sense so I got rid of them. The object I couldn't touch was the giant, massive wardrobe. It takes so much space, bah.
Parrots!
Then we go outside and we see.. just a few flowers. I'm not really of a clutter person, but I need flowers around every single house my sims live in. xD I had to keep the table. As you can see, I replaced the bedroom doors with windows. The privacy is still pretty much non-existent in the bedroom with those windows, but hey. At least there aren't any doors.
One of the reasons I chose this house to make over was the fact there was a pond in there. I always go crazy on ponds, but I tried not to overdecorate the pond this time. xD
I also made a screenshot of the floorplan, although I just noticed it's a bit small. I also realise those trees I used are ridiculously big, one of them is even blocking a bit of the hobby room. Oops.
It was quite fun to do such a thing, maybe I'll try and do one of the two other houses as well. Only, the time, the time.. anyway, thank you for reading - or rather looking. I can't look forward to see other entries as well! :3
Go here for another - amazing, I might say - version of the Una house. =)
