Ok, so fine. Real update... short, though.
Though Anna was referring to our conversion to Satanism when she posted earlier, there's some other exciting news, too. Well, exciting to me... and my mom! And Feras.....
So after long consideration (and considerable headache), I...bought a 2-story Georgian Colonial Revival house. The house was built in 1910 and is quite delightfully ugly! Ok, it's not really that bad... and really the beauty of it is all of the value we're going to generate by painting, renovating, etc.. We've chosen paint colors and start the real painting tomorrow. Anna will be living with me, though that's not quite as scandalous as it might sound, but that's another story.
So the real excitement is that, in the grand colonial tradition, I've decided to grow tobacco and invite Feras over to help me cure it next year. We're going to have a lot of fun with our 18th century crafts project. It'll rule.
After painting is done, we'll move on to other projects... landscaping (my mom is actually planting a hedge after the surveyor comes out to mark the property lines... she just likes gardening that much and has kinda used up her own yard)... building a deck... installing fixtures... it's going to be fun. And I have awesome friends around who (even if they won't help) will be able to come and hang out while we do all the hard work. Assholes.
