MY day started with a review of an old PPC WIP, in which the reviewer, having disabled the reply function, told me that I would never be able to truly write a Protectors of the Plot Continuum story because I had insulted her sister-in-law's second-favourite fandom.
Which would be fair - author tracts are as uncool as Mary Sues, and this particular story devolves into a "Tolkien is cooler than CS Lewis!" rant at the end - except that this particular WIP was abandoned after one chapter OVER SEVEN YEARS AGO for exactly that reason. The fact that she trawled to the bottom of my FF.net page to read it and then didn't even have the balls to be offended for herself is just the galling cherry on top of this WTF pie.
