A heart full of words left unspoken

Sing a song of gladness and cheer
For the time of Christmas is here!

- A Christmas Carol

Strangely, I woke up today just in time for breakfast.  I felt the early December morning air breeze through my feet that were peeking out of my blanket.  Gaaah, it's Christmas time already!  This just means a lot of things...

In the meantime, here's a meme from Ekay
vierblith_tefu .

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5.Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
6. Tag five people.

Its walls were of clean stone, but they were mostly covered with green hanging mats and yellow curtains.  The floor was flagged, and strewn with fresh green rushes.  There were four deep mattresses, each piled with white blankets, laid on the floor along one side.  Against the opposite wall was a long bench laden with wide earthenware basins, and beside it stood brown ewers filled with water, some cold, some steaming hot.  There were soft green slippers set ready beside each bed.

- Chapter VII (In the House of Tom Bombadill), The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

That paragraph I typed down is a snippet of extra-detailed descriptions by Tolkein himself.  As you may have thought, the reason why the trilogy is still on my table is because I still haven't finished the whole thing, demmit.  Aside from the fact that the novel is lengthy, I don't have the trilogy part-by-part, 'coz the three books are bounded together into one big edition, and it's hard to carry the big book around.

It's Christmas time already! This just means a lot of things:

Friends from abroad are coming back for vacation!  Vinni and Nya from Singapore will be back next week.  Pauline Polene, as far as I have heard from other Pisay batchmates, will be coming home for Christmas too.  And even Doctor David! Wahoo!! I have to save a lot of moolah for all the lakad. :)

Speaking of moolah, stipends Christmas shopping money!

School will be something to look forward to this month.  UP will again be a busy, messy place haha.  Oblation Run, Lantern Parade, Engineering Week.  And I think the other colleges will be having their own Christmas program celebration thingys.

Awitan 2007 is coming up!  Two weeks na lang!  And I must admit, I never thought choral singing would be that difficult. Utmost concentration is really needed, and not to mention sensitivity to the sound of the other singers.  I really do hope UP Circuit Chorus can pull this one up this year.  At kamusta naman yun, from the ever-so-low-sounding Bass 1, I was recently moved to the supercalifragilistic-low Bass 2 voice! This calls for a monthly dose of testosterone.  Balut, anyone?

But before all of this, I still have two major exams up and coming!  I haven't understood a single thing on convolutions and linear, time-invariant signal systems.  And the formulas for electromagnetics are just frigging complicated to remember easily! Let us cry altogether huhuhu...

December only has two weeks of school.  And yet I can sense the impending demand for time once all start fall into place.
