It will never be the same without you.

I should have gone to another school instead. Taft, anyone?

Good thing I was online the night before UP was filled with impatient and infuriated people, or I could have been one of them.  A Registration Assistant was kind enough to post through the UP-LJ community the announcement regarding the sudden and shocking 360-degree turn of the registration procedure.  Apparently, the CRS team (now made up of underpaid professional programmers) wanted to make the registration almost-completely online.  Normally, it's the pre-enlistment that's just online.  Now, they even wanted to make the manual enlistment done online -- "real-time enlistment".

But in vain!  Ang galing-galing ng CRS!  Malakas nga naman talagang mangarap.  Who in the world would forget, that in a largely-populated university like UPD, despite the heat of summer, not a few people take summer classes.  And as expected, the registration site got itself overloaded and the servers eventually crashed after an hour or so.  How could professional programmers forget that they would have needed, at the least, considerably more than ONE working computer for them to serve everyone enlisting all at the same time?  If  I get really rich, magdo-donate ako ng maraming Core Duo PCs sa UP Computer Center at sa EEE na rin.

Buti na lang, may Math 54 slot na akong nakuha during the second run (nanginggit ba!).  After sitting for 3 hours in front of my PC ("in the comforts of your own home" really don't sound good here), I abandoned the thought of me getting even into the page of the PE classes.

Sigh. At least tapos na ako, after two straight days of walking around school.  Crossing my fingers that the registration protocol be fixed as soon as possible.  I shudder to imagine that happening in the regular semester -- magkakagiyera na sa Diliman, sigurado.

Come to think of it, with all these suprises and inconsistencies, UP wouldn't be UP.

I only have one full day of summer vacation. I'll be out on Sunday, so I practically have the whole of Saturday to do all I want, before summer classes will eat me. Chrono Trigger's doing well. Shadow of the Colossus, not so good. I stumbled upon this site, which has a truckload of Photoshop tutorials, and I've learned a lot in such a short time. I was also able to do a Multiply-site-makeover thanks to that site.

And! And! AND! I'm making progress in LOTR! I'm halfway through Fellowship! Despite lengthy descriptions and lots of side stories and songs, I'm beginning to see the amazing Old-English-ish style of Tolkein. I also found out that there are A LOT of details and events that were not shown on the movie. I hope I can read on how Frodo actually throws the Ring in Mount Doom before second year (OMGWTFBBQ! Second Year na ako!). And yes, Tolkein is still downright boring for me.

Madali lang 'to. As long as you know me really well, haha. :)

And, no, it will never be the same
Without you baby
This pain inside me is driving me crazy
‘Cause, its hard to love again...

U-Turn is such an amazing local acoustic band. Just the easy-listening acoustic band that I like listening to. Gusto ko ng boses na tulad nung sa lalaking singer. Too bad they're now disbanded.

You never stop loving someone. You just learn to live without them.
