so the fact that i have absolutely no idea what is going on in the world kind of sucks. a lot.

but i'm out of my hole. i'm finished with finals. if only that last one hadn't sucked so much, i would feel way better right now.

Hey, I saw your posts in Libertarianism and thought they were very insightful. I hope to be a law student at some point, and law always interests me anyway. And also...lol...we share the same birthday! :)

Hey Ernie. Yeah, the criminal law is fascinating. I didn't actually LEARN very much of it because my professor is a bigshot criminal appellate lawyer / TV talking head, so he spent most of the semester telling us highly entertaining stories about his clients. Even though I'm in law school and I took Crim last semester, I still love Law & Order (mostly SVU... but that's for a different reason). Are you thinking of applying to law school?

Word on the same birthday. Thanks for adding me.

Even if sounds cheesy, Law & Order was the show that inspired me to go for Law. I had take 3 years of Medicine in Cuba before I came to the US, and I thought about going back to medical school, but Cuba's communist government prevented me from bringing over my transcripts. Law had always been my second passion, and soon it became the first. Yes, I will apply to Law School eventually. It is never too late. I worked for a Civil solo-practitioner while I was in college. She had gone to Law School after 25 years of working as a legal assistant. I learned a lot with her.

I find that there are very few people who share our birthday, and the ones that do, are a very special group ;)

Congrads. This reminds me that post - law school finals was one of the most disconcerting times of my life. Especially the first year. Because there's no instant gratification for all your efforts, and meanwhile, you are reminded of everything you ignored while you had your head in the sand of law school finals. Which is really a bummer, especially if what you were ignoring was something you shouldn't have been. But that kind of feeling usually goes away by second year.

yeah... except now i have to live with the agony of going over the exams again and again in my head and thinking of new things i missed every time. so far i've mostly avoided looking over them.

the world marched on without me. and hopefully KP is not too mad that i was not a very nice person for the past few weeks.

Oh I know! I hate that feeling. But believe it or not, that's a good sign that you probably did well. Whenever I have not had that agony, I have not done well. The agony test for me is almost 90% accurate.

At least you and KP are still on speaking terms, which is really an accomplishment. After my first semester I got broken up with. Not fun. And, looking back, it had a lot to do with the insecurities of law school. It's actually the relationship I most regret ending.

Mostly the being on speaking terms has to do with her patience. At least now I know how much of a cunt this whole process makes me.

So the breakup was purely from exam stress? Sue the school for IIED. I mean... I haven't taken torts yet, so I only have a vague conception of what that actually means.
