well our first law school party went off superbly. had it at my friend drew's place near radcliffe, in his backyard. more than half our section showed up, along with about 100 people from other sections. it was fucking awesome. i had a great time making my rounds. didn't drink too much, but i'm more than willing to foot the bill for that successful a party. it was real chill, people were just standing around talking to each other and having a good time. great, great time. and now we'll be known as the party kids in the party section.
i have started using the word "awesome" a lot. it's weird.
on the docket (ha) this weekend:
- first year lawyering memo due monday (wtf? our prof is a sadist. we already had a totally unrelated outline due thursday)
- civ pro cases and briefs
- start outlining for all my classes
ugh!
+ this kid jeremy's party tomorrow, with steak
+ brunch on sunday with mark and sarah
+ SOME FREE TIME
so i've found that the law school schedule is super super hectic. just, like, i don't ever get time to relax at all. if i'm at home, i'm sleeping or showering or it's after midnight so i had to come home to finish my work since the library's closed. but the first week is over and i'm already getting better at reading cases and i am not as freaked out as i was. and i've talked a few times in class and done fairly well. i can do this. it's still hard as shit though.
time for bed. it's been a long week.
