I Know How You've Hurt, And Been Dragged Through The Dirt
Guess what I got today? A promo copy of Tori Amos' American Doll Posse! But no, I can't share it with you. It is encrypted with my editor's details, and so sharing it about could potentially ruin her professional reputation. But I'll be sure to share my thoughts on it once I've managed to listen to it!
In other news, I'm applying for a few full-time journalism jobs around the traps. I am having so much fun with Drum Media, but it's getting too difficult to balance it with part-time work at Borders. If no job comes through within about a month, though, I'll be quitting Borders and freelancing full-time! Which would be scary, but fun. I have been quite tired, on account of reviewing three to five shows a week, and my days off from Borders are then spent writing.
This week, my uncle is staying with me, which is surprisingly fun. But still, it'll be nice to have the place back to myself so I can leave my tea cup on the table or whatever.
Also, why are clothes so ugly? I have about $800 worth of birthday vouchers to spend, and can't find anything I like.
And, in less selfish news, my parents almost sold their house but then it fell through. Sad for them, back to the stress of open houses.
