Personality: Because of her upbringing, emotions and personality traits are fairly new to Laura; she's not emotionless by any sense of the word, but she has never been allowed to experience them before.

Laura has a very stunted personality due to the way she was raised. She was taught to be a weapon, not a human. Though, that's not to say she doesn't have emotions, because she does. Often they confuse her, and if they are too strong, she lashes out against herself violently. Not attacking anyone else in the process, only harming herself. Laura will kill people without showing any remorse or feeling, but she's known to spare people in the middle of her missions (Usually children). When talking to people, she doesn't go out of her way to spare their feelings, and tends to be brutally honest. She doesn't hold back on her opinions, and probably sees no point in doing so. She may seem like she's being cold most of the time, but she is really not trying to be.

Raised to be a weapon -- a thing, if you will -- the only thing Laura has ever known are objectives and missions. The first thing she does when she wakes out of a chemical induced berserker style murdering of the only person who ever treated her like she was human is ask 'what is my mission'. She doesn't know how to deal with the complexities of life and and grey areas. She doesn't know how to handle herself. This sort of extends into not knowing how to handle other people. Sure, she knows how to act around people, in a way-- she was a trained assassin, after all, able to mimic various personality types and mannerisms with enough skill to fool even Captain America, but outside of mission parameters, Laura is essentially a lost, socially awkward child. Being confronted with people her own age, being asked to to do normal things are things that Laura has no idea how to handle. She's quite capable of feeling emotion, and knowing when (if not always how) to express it. Her coping mechanism is, understandably, skewed -- when faced with moments of severe emotional duress that she doesn't know how to handle, Laura will turn on herself, engaging in bodily harm. Sometimes it's minor, mere cuts across her forearm. Other times, it's much more violent, turning on herself and the immediate environment around her-- though curiously enough, it's never, ever directed at other people. Laura has never killed consciously in a fit of emotion. In relation, Laura's got absolutely no sense of self preservation, either. She was trained to be a weapon, not a soldier-- she was trained to kill, not defend. Laura grew up with the understanding that she would get better-- the mission objective was the alpha and omega. Her life was meaningless. Despite having grown past this somewhat, Laura still retains that same sense of fatalism. She knows she's a clone, she knows how people react to clones. For all intents and purposes, Laura knows she is expendable.

Generally speaking, Laura is quiet and subdued, though, the 'goth' kid (a mannerism picked up from her cousin Megan, who has the honor of being Laura's first and possibly only friend) through and through. Her mannerisms are clipped and short, she speaks like a government document sometimes, and due to the fact that she knows the Facility is out to get her, she tries to keep people at arm's length at shortest. Still, attachments form, and Laura cherishes each and every one of them. Unfortunately, this usually translates to her running away and never seeing them, wanting to keep them safe from her past and herself.

Trouble is, Laura doesn't even know who she is. She flips back and forth between Laura and X-23 as her name, and by the end of her tenure in X-Force, she's practically decided that 'Laura' is someone who she can't be. She tried being Laura. It didn't work-- X-23 always caught back up to her, and while she still wants to be Laura-- she feels that she can't. 'Laura' has no mission. 'Laura' can be hurt. X-23 is nothing more than a weapon, and as X-23, she doesn't have to feel.

Powers, Skills, and Abilities:

Bone Claws- Like her 'father', Wolverine, Laura has the mutant power of bone claws, two encased within her forearm, and one in each foot. The claws are bonded with a rare metal known as adamantium, and as such, Laura's claws can cut through anything except the metal known as vibranium and other things made of adamantium.

Heightened Senses- Laura has heightened senses of smell and hearing, heightened reflexes, and heightened immunity, as part of her mutant powers. She also has superhuman stamina, longevity and durability, thanks to her heightened immunity.

Covert Ops Training- From the time she was born, Laura was trained to be the perfect assassin. As a result, Laura is proficient with many types of weapons including guns, swords, daggers, has acute knowledge in explosives, can speak multiple languages and is an expert in interrogation and black ops techniques. Laura is also a master martial artist, and can kill as easily with her bare hands as she can with her claws or weapons.
