Hi. France.
I've been here for like a month and a half. Gareth is euphoric and i wake up every morning and think that no two people could be this happy. Phil is our loyal companion - the three of us are constantly together. I actually have his housekey. He's leaving for Greece tomorrow to see about a girl. We will miss him. I will feed his cat.
Im babysitting for money. That officially makes me an illegal alien. The 3 little girls are a handful, sometimes nightmares, but they're practically being raised by babysitters and i feel that i'm doing something positive and helpful for others with my time. Thats a bit more rewarding than the 5 euros per hour. Thats immigrant wage.
I know a lot of people, most of them from the St. James. Tim, Tom and Ben are really fun boys and Mariya is kick ass but Gareth is their boss so sometimes i feel a bit marginalized - like they're afraid i'll know too much. It never used to be that way. This is recent development. Its made me feel a bit uncool. Weird, friends and not friends.
Tom and Ben are professional chefs and make an amazing dinner for the whole crew on sundays. Today we had tai.
In two weeks Gareth and I are roadtripping to england and I couldn't be more excited about it! A few weeks back we went down south to Avignon, followed by the quiet village called Ardeche with Phil, Oscar and some chick i didn't know. We just lived outside, and barbequed. I didnt wear shoes for 24 hours. I grew up in the country you know, but where i live know is pretty urban. For the first time i felt what its like to be a city folk who gets to visit the country.
Gareth is officially coming to me...it may be a month or two apart before he can get to california, but we're doing our best to do it legally. Thats what love does.
