(no subject)
Every new year's eve i make these lists...
2007 hilights:
- Teddie and I hating each other - her moving in with ben and me being a sad sac of shit
- Todd left me in April, but came back to me 3 weeks later
- I did a lot of self discovering in those three weeks
- Started at KDVS
- Volunteered at the Whole Earth Festival
- A quiet summer - lots of time with todd, disneyland with the family, time at the cabin with family, burning stuff camping trip 5.0 with chateau
- Todd left for Brazil and that was the last time i can remember really crying.
- I left for France
- Todd left for England and left me for another woman in about a week, after a year and a half together
- Stephanie was a train wreck. Couldn't eat or sleep, lost weight, the whole thing that goes along with a badly broken heart
- Vacance de Toussaints! I backpacked switzerland, spain, portugal, and Morocco - where i kissed strangers, did stuff i would NEVER do in real life, and officially got my feet on the ground. Life after death we called it. Time of my life!
- Traveled all over France and visited Germany
- LIVED in Lyon France! spoke French, made new lovers, made new friends, smoked cigarettes, made a local out of myself - I found pieces of me that were missing, and i was HAPPY!
- Failed classes in French because I was much happier LIVING rather than studying. First time for bad grades for me!
- I met Gareth! my english bartender man with a funny scotch accent - we knocked the wind out of each other. I've talked to him every day since i've been back in the states. He's still telling me he's coming to see me in April. We'll just play this by ear and see what happens...thats about all you can do. i'm gving him a chance - i just couldn't walk away. I know i've said this before but, "when we kissed, it didn't feel poisonous"
- Teddie and I made up.
there were so many chapters this year...
2008 is coming:
-Moving back to davis first week of January - i'm moving in with NINE GUYS that i met in gospel choir. What an adventure thats going to be!
-Taking 16 units this quarter all towards my major - can't wait to get on with it!
- Gotta find a new job so i can afford to go back to Lyon this summer, right quick.
- Gareth is telling me he's coming round to see me this spring.
- Juliana gets back from India this spring
- Hopefully summertime in France
- I'll turn 22.
- Fall next year - god knows! I'll just be trying to get through school back in davis. Who knows where i'll be living by then.
This time last year i never would have guessed i would have loved, lost, and lived in and traveled Europe, so all i can do is anticipate the blank page that is 2008
