Thursdays are becoming my favorite day of the week. It is the only day I do not have a morning class. So today I did not set the alarm clock and woke up at 8:30 a.m. Bliss.
I dreamt of my grandparents, and Mila (my cat) was on their bed and I was shocked because my grandparents were not into animals, and my grandmother said, "It's okay, the only thing that bothers me is the cat hair on my skirt."
Psy called me this morning, all sweet as honey, but I feel down about us and I still feel manipulated.
Still, I am trying to convince him to stay in the city tomorrow night. I want to go to the Met to see the exhibit on German expressionist drawings and prints, and I would like to have dinner at Cafe Sarbosky (sp?), an Austrian restaurant in the Neue Gallerie, a museum for Germanic art that is three years old and was founded by one of the Lauder brothers (as in Estee Lauder).
Psy is not keen on the idea of staying in the city, he says he finds it depressing to have to take the train back to NJ on Saturday morning... and I can't blame him for it. But I also have to lug all my art materials back and forth and I don't want to carry them to the museum and restaurant.
I am starving, only half an hour until I rush to the cafeteria.
Speaking of food, I forgot to mention that yesterday I got my Braun Multipractic food processor in the mail. I ordered it on ebay and it only cost me $50. It is a discontinued model that came out in the 80's, 100% made in Germany (notice the Teutonic leitmotif in this entry). I have a simpler version that I love and works great, but this one comes with a whisk attachment, an additional smaller mixing bowl, and a great cookbook. All I have to buy is the special dough hook and I'll be set for baking bread this winter.
