Chips, Cards, and Bowling Oh My!

Advice of the day: Don't stand too close to a guy in a dress.

So it seems like everyone and their dog is trying to convince me not to purchase the poker chips. As a result I won't be buying them, however, the next person who complains about the chip counts or the chip values gets a punch in the face.

Four months ago I quit Legend of the Five Rings. Since then I have saved a lot of money and used the time and money gained productively. Recently I was asked by my friend Rusty if I wanted to tag along to the kotei the Fandom gang is going to in May. I've always enjoyed the trips in the past years so I have agreed to go. I just need to playtest a bunch now to get my play skills up to par. I borrowed some cards from some friends and now have a kotei ready deck. Two weeks ago I came in 3rd and yesterday I came in 2nd. Soon I'll stop making play mistakes. I have nothing against Rob but damn does he ever suck at L5R. He plays a toned down version of my deck but he plays it improperly. I think one of his major issues is that he is not aggressive enough. Hopefully he improves his game between now and kotei.

This past saturday I went bowling with some friends. It had been a 4 years since the last time I bowled but it seems like I didn'nt lose much practice. I whooped everyone! Dan did quite well on his very last game but all his other games he barely broke 100. The night went a little too long to be honest. Pam was in a lot of pain by the end of the night. This morning she was so sore that she could barely stand up. I hope she takes my advice and stays home from school today. She can be pretty stubborn so she will probably go anyways.

Like Dan, I too have begun playing Diablo 2. The game brings back a lot of memories since I played this game for all of high school. Once in a while Dan and I play together but we primarily use the multiplayer option to trade equipment between character. With my 7 characters on the go and Dan's single character we find a lot of unique items. Needless to say, we are both having a lot of fun with the game.

That's it for today. Unless something exciting happens between now and wednesday my next post will be about varous television shows I enjoy watching. Talk to ya then!
