there's this little social tick that i've noticed people doing recently that drives ME crazy *grrrr*
ok example, last night i was telling jorge a story about a goncha that a girl did in tango class (goncha is where the leader leans one leg forward and the follower is turned around and does a small kick upwards in between his legs. it's provocative if done correctly, potentially painful if done incorrectly) WEEEELLLLL so my story was that the girl kind of kicked a little too high and ended up coming into "contact" let's just say. well it was no big deal, was barely a tap, but she made the funniest face of shock mixed with concern. i incorporated that face she made into my story to jorge along with whatever humorous point i was making at the time and it was very funny ya know, then as i'm moving on into the story he stops me and asks me to repeat the face that i made and he asks me to repeat somethig else a sound or face or whatever, THAT I HAD JUST SAID/MADE NOT ONE MINUTE AGO ! does this make sense, what i'm complaining about ?
i'm telling a story that involves a funny gesture, face, sound or punchline and the minute i'm done doing that the person i'm talking to stops me to ask me to do the same exact thing again!?
is this something that is common now ? bc i've had arri do this to me, people at work and at parties and now jorge (who is usually kind of out of the loop on pop-culture) i mean is this something that they do in some tv show or movie somewhere ? a character does something, gets a laugh and is promptly prompted to do the same exact thing again ? idk but it's REALLY annoying and makes me feel like i'm one of those uh things where you um make them repeat things... you get the idea.
