Oil rig, or service industry?
So. I recently got fired from a job working on a service rig. I was a floorhand on that rig for about... forty days. Previous to that, I worked on another rig with the same company. I made a lot of money in the time that I worked there (What... being paid 30 dollars per hour, and all.) However, the job itself was not very favourable. Rarely any days off. Below freezing temperatures. Intensive manual labour.
On the other hand, I could get a job in a bar, as a bartender. The fact of the matter is, I'm going to return to the oil rigs eventually. However, I was considering maybe only working the rigs in summer. When it's not so fucking freezing cold.
