XIII

This, led to the shameful result of this.

The blatant weakness of a loving heart. Isn't it enough evidence? First, the sorrowful speech of an anguished soul, craving for reason to have his heart removed. A moment of complete weakness, which was easily seen by predators, and others who might have talked privately. They perceived this as the most ( Read more... )

"We, the Organization XIII, shall continue with its original goal, which each one of us know perfectly."

The goal of the rest of Organization XIII, or at least the goal of myself and several others, Superior, was to regain our hearts and become whole once more.

Drive Sora to release more hearts, to fuel Kingdom Hearts, in order to become complete.

To which goal do you refer?

Correct.

Same purpose, different means. Even if we can obtain a heart without Kingdom Hearts, that ... heart will be as foolish as the one my reflection obtained.

How can you prove that a heart obtained through Kingdom Hearts would be any different than one obtained through this Purgatory's means?

As you might have observed from my reflection, Naminé and Number XII have gained a heart. Have you noticed how their behavior has been altered? How it has been infested with the kind of love Number VI stated?

A true heart can't be gained by the means this realm offers. It is too simple, too easy to be true. The faults have been observed, sheer examples are XII, Naminé and my reflection. Just analyze his previous post... would a sane nobody say such thing?

If he has gained a heart, is he truly a Nobody? This leaves many questions that are very difficult to answer.

It is too easy, but how can we determine whether or not it is a true heart? Have you had anyone observe those which have been forcefully separated in the past from their bodies?

Do you even have a solid idea, Superior, or is this all based on theory and assumption?

I call him nobody, but in essence he is not, there is indeed no word to define him.

Tell me, III, is a true heart the one filled with love? One filled with friendship?

It is the truth, the one Ansem failed to see, the one he died without understanding.

I think there is one word to define him, Superior. He is simply Xemnas. Perhaps not quite human, perhaps not quite a Nobody.

Frankly, Superior, how would I be able to accurately state what the "true" heart is? I have not experienced such knowledge since becoming a Nobody. It was that knowledge that drove me in attempting to achieve my goals.

My theories thus far are simply that the heart is what drives emotion. Whether love or friendship, or anger and hatred. The heart, possibly, is just what one forms it to be. Again, this is simply theory after observing the humans.

Regarding whether or not it is the truth... only time may tell.

You were a disciple of Ansem, just like Xehanort. Regardless his foolish attempts to prevent us from unraveling the true essence of the heart, we continued our research. You, Vexen, Xigbar, Lexaeus, Zexion. We know the essence of the heart. We have studied it. And definitely... is not love. That is a fallacy.

I will not be making any immediate decisions.

Regardless, I will be requiring that I maintain my public face for the time being.

I should prefer to take time and think on the events that have occurred since my arrival in this purgatory. Both regarding these discussions, and things that have occurred to turn so many in a violent fashion towards us. At the moment, my primary concern is still my own self-preservation.

I will not betray your secrecy, III.

But tell me, if you are not with the Organization, what will you do? Find friends? Is that what you ultimately seek?

The heart we seek is the heart we researched for. Don't you remember your times at the Radiant Garden and the underground laboratory?

I remember. I do not remember Vexen being quite this... psychotic, either. Perhaps that is just a biased memory, but he seems more uncontrollable now than ever before.

And I have not yet declared that I am not with the Organization. I simply wish to find answers at this time. Perhaps taking a day to clear my head will help. I have done nothing but dash this way and that in frenetic madness ever since I arrived.

What answers do you seek?

Ones which I will need to find on my own.

Allow me a day of reprieve from contact, Superior. I find that my thoughts will likely process better if I am left to my own devices. By Friday's time, I should be fine again. I will likely be speaking with very few people outside my employ during that time, but if I do require anything, I will be more than happy to inform you.

This chaotic revelation has been useful, III. It will determine who are worthy of being part of the Organization XIII and who are not.

As you might have noticed, VI, VIII, IV and XIII have confirmed their allegiance. You, III, a senior member of the Organization still doubts. I understand there have been countless events which means you will need time.

That is why I ask you to confirm your allegiance.

It would be disappointed someone like you deserted the Organization, following the flawed attempt of my reflection to dismantle it.
