Synergy

It turns out Synergy's held in a fairly sizeable basement bar close to the entrance Brighton's surviving pier and it gets a decent number of customers, even despite Saturday's sub-zero temperatures.

My setlist went as follows:

00:06 : Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds
00:10 : Rammstein - Das Modell
00:14 : Das Ich - Destillat [vnv nation]
00:19 : Suicide Commando - Hellraiser (VNV Nation Remix)
00:25 : Grendel - Soilbleed (V.3)
00:30 : Noisuf-X - Hit Me Hard (X-Fusion Remix)
00:35 : Skinny Puppy - Assimilate
00:41 : Psychlon Nine - Divine Infekt (Tactical Sekt Remix)
00:46 : Combichrist - What The Fuck Is Wrong With You?
00:51 : Nine Inch Nails - Closer
00:57 : Rob Zombie - Feel So Numb
01:00 : Fear Factory - Cars
01:04 : Zeromancer - Doctor Online

So yeah, I slipped in a couple of requests and am generally very pleased with how it all went; I like the night a lot and the reaction to my set seemed positive. I crashed over at my friend Paul B's place in Hove afterwards; we got in the door to his flat and started messing around with his decks for a bit before we passed out, and caught sight of a 24 hour news channel saying that Whitney Houston had just died. A strange end to the night...

My next confirmed gig's at Whitby in April. Bring it on!

Last night, having returned to London*, Lande and I managed to leave Zach with my parents for a few hours and go up to Chinatown for a joint birthday celebratory meal at the New World restaurant.

And the weekend is now over. Already. *sigh*

* A couple of hours later than planned - I didn't realise there'd be Sunday engineering works and replacement buses on the way back home from the south coast! Well at least this afforded me a bit of extra reading time...
