The quiet before the storm

The coffee machine on my floor has been out of order for more than one week now. I must then choose between painful caffeine starvation, or making a sad and slightly embarrassed-looking pilgrimage to the neighbouring floors, my beloved mug in hand.

More than one week. It’s savage.

Aside from this, most of my non-office-based life has involved sitting in front of my computer, plugging away at making my film. It’s progressing, but there’s not really much else I can say about it for now. It would be nice to have it done by the end of this month, but who can rightly say… social activities have wound down a bit, mainly as a drive to save money for Whitby and Leipzig. I’d hoped to go to Invocation on the 19th, but it’s now looking likely to be replaced by an evening in with DVDs. It’s all for a good cause, though.

Winter and spring still can’t seem to agree which is currently the correct season and have taken their differences outside to settle in the car park. I’m enjoying the walk to and from Purley train station a bit more now, but maybe not for much longer; I’ll be flying the parental nest (for the third time) and staying in Wood Green on a somewhat more permanent basis from late May.

While I've been typing this, an engineer has turned up to fix the machine. Finally. Must be the power of attraction!
