Ouch
This really has been a busy weekend. Yesterday it was birthday stuff for both random_goth and rock_angel16.
Today it was finally time to get my tattoo.
I'm very pleased with what they've done. It's very faithful to my original design and it was a relief to get it done in a comfy environment, by a cute Japanese lady, and with a classic Faith No More album playing which I'd not heard in years. That doesn't alter the fact however that it was unbelievably painful and I must have pulled a lot of amusing faces while my ribs were being done. I don't think I'll be sleeping on that side for a few nights.
Afterwards, I met with maxrael and Petra in the Dev for a couple of quick pints and then who should walk in but maznige and gothyjdarkstar, who cajoled me into coming along with them to Tanz Macabre in Soho. I only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was pretty nice there; I'm not really into death rock, but it was nice to hang out somewhere else that I've not explored before. It reminded me of being in Gossips back in the old days, plus they were giving out tomb stone-shaped shortbread biscuits and there were quite a few familiar faces in the crowd to chat with, so a worthwhile excursion indeed...
