I haven't had this much discussion about G.U. in a long time! Ah, nostalgia.voicingJune 2 2010, 08:52:49 UTC
+ I think the massive change in personality was what was so jarring to me. I don't blame Elk at all for it or becoming a recluse - having TWICE lost the person he loved so much, AI or no - but the way he changed was just...weird.
I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING. I wonder if Kaoru had Mia in mind as he made the character. Not quite like what Harald did with Aura (her being his and Emma's hypothetical daughter), but in a way so that he's playing a character whose personality is a mixture of himself AND Mia's. That way they could still be together and he'd never lose her again (at least until the AIDA cat showed up). I don't know. Wild guessing, feel free to ignore.
+ They are adorable, aren't they? Sakubo is one of the few shota/loli characters I don't want to tell to go away. Bo seems generally more popular with the fandom, but I have a soft spot for Saku for some reason.
+ I like him too (second favorite male character, actually), but I don't think he was worth shoehorning into nearly every Conglomerate related story and remaking his own again and again.
+ Link apparently explains a lot of lingering questions, including AIDA. Not so sure about G.U.!Cubia, though.
