[The audio to the journal turns on and, albeit a New Feather, the dictation that comes across is clear, if the voice accompanying shaken up. She tries to keep it under wraps, but the slight, shrill sound can be heard during the breaks of her speech.]
Did it actually just turn on--? Odd. [A brief pause to gather her wits before speaking.]
I can only

Hermione! We're both still here!

[She's relieved to hear his voice, but before she lets other questions flood she has to question the last sentence.]
Wait-- still here? What on Earth do you mean?

Hermione, do you remember anything about being in a place called Luceti?
Reply
Luceti? [Hermione repeated it carefully, brows furrowing.] I can't say I've ever heard of a place by that name. Why?

[And now? She was floored speechless as she tried to wrap her head around the idea.]
That's impossible. If this place--Luceti-- can do such a thing like that than if I were here before why wouldn't I remember it? That doesn't make any sense.

I suppose this would be my second time as well, then, and I don't remember either. [Skeptical. Pursing her lips.] You do realize how utterly absurd that sounds, Harry? Not that anything about this isn't.
[Wings, for example, were quite absurd.]

We should probably get you home first. Er, to the house, I mean.

Wait a minute, experiments? Harry, you can't go around saying something like that and then try and change the topic. What sort of experiments?
[But she does pause. Catching up with rationality.]
How long has it been? I must have been here before for quite some time from the sounds, but how long have you been here?

Like I said, we should probably get you to the house. There's a lot to explain and Raine has a guide for that sort of thing. We're being kept in this place by the Malnosso, and every month or so they put us under some strange experiment or another. It's awful.
[He stops to think again.] It's been almost two months since you left. Before then, you were here for almost a year and a half. You were the second to arrive after D- [Wait, she doesn't remember that either.] Malfoy and you beat me by a few weeks.

I don't suppose you can direct me to where the house is, then? I'm near a lake, but that's about as far as I can tell. [Even if he said they needed to, she considers.] Does the guide explain the types of experiments Luceti has done?
[She finds it important to know, but the time frame. It wasn't completely impossible, she knew about meddling with time. And even other planes, but this was all still completely left field.] That's-- That's quite the long time.
[There's nothing she feels adequate enough to say for the revelation. For once, speechless.]

Head south, and you should be able to find house 26. It's pretty easy to spot, as it's the only one with devil's snare on the outside. [After a moment of fussing.] The guide is here for when you get a chance to look it over, and it does talk about the experiments a bit. It's the best for learning about our situation.
[He doesn't know how else to comfort her, really. The fact that she's back is a pretty good comfort for him.] I know.

Thank you, Harry, I'll be sure to read it soon. When I get to the house, I suppose. [Thinking "the house" seems odd.] Not a great idea to read something in the middle of a forest.
[Dry humor, but she's biting the inside of her lip in thought.] And you've no chance of finding a way home.
[It wasn't a question, she was sure he tried-- they tried. A year and a half, that was a long time.]

[He sighs and pauses for a moment.] We were sort of hoping the reason you'd left before is because you'd found a way back.

[It's true, she would be far less calm about matters if she wasn't sure how her friends were. But his last comment makes her frown. Hoping she-- a sigh escapes.]
Oh, Harry, you should know I would never leave you or the others behind even if I had found a way. It just wouldn't be right.
