Ooo - hello! This is a nice surprise, particularly given that yes, I really haven't been active much on my own journal for a looooong long time. With the latest series of Who engaging me more I've been venturing back online though, and I have to say that posts like yours make me as happy as mine did you! ^_^ I'll be trying to post a bit more in future I think.
And yeah, you caught me banging on one of my favourite drums in that MS dislike thread. I'm honestly loving the Moff's series SO much more than the RTD years at the moment because it's quieter, quirkier, more interesting and less overdone. All of which is not to say that I hated RTD's years, but there were things I could have done without.
Sometimes it seems to me, a lot of those people talking about the new series being emotionally underdeveloped and childish and what-they-all-comment-about have grown emotionally "underdeveloped" themselves Yes!! And I know you don't mean to be harsh - I feel the same. I just dislike being spoonfed things and having obvious signposts in stories. Don't TELL me that a character is awesome and wonderful and expect me to just blindly agree with you ... show me how they're awesome and I'll come to the conclusion on my own, tyvm.
