Hey there!
I've just been visiting your journal as your reply to mine in the "oh how we all do hate Matt"-Thread made me very happy, tbh :D
Seriously happy!
(If you can be "seriously" happy *g*)
Sometimes it seems to me, a lot of those people talking about the new series being emotionally underdeveloped and childish and what-they-all-comment-about have grown emotionally "underdeveloped" themselves. Which I don't mean as harsh as it sounds. It's exactly what your last entry (this is quite old, huh^^?) is about. Not everything pompous has to be good and sometimes less is more. Plus, after all, the doctor is a) *not* human and b) DW is neither a daily soap nor the latest heartbreaking hollywood romance flick but a tale about the strange and alien madman in a box ;D!

And! I absolutely agree with your and I never want to be in the position where I'm thinking "REGENERATE ALREADY!" again !!!
As much as I loved DT and was on the edge of my seat waiting for the last specials, at some point I started thinking "Oh please, get over with it already ._.!" Certain things can only be stressed so much....

So, hi there :D *waves*

Ooo - hello! This is a nice surprise, particularly given that yes, I really haven't been active much on my own journal for a looooong long time. With the latest series of Who engaging me more I've been venturing back online though, and I have to say that posts like yours make me as happy as mine did you! ^_^ I'll be trying to post a bit more in future I think.

And yeah, you caught me banging on one of my favourite drums in that MS dislike thread. I'm honestly loving the Moff's series SO much more than the RTD years at the moment because it's quieter, quirkier, more interesting and less overdone. All of which is not to say that I hated RTD's years, but there were things I could have done without.

Sometimes it seems to me, a lot of those people talking about the new series being emotionally underdeveloped and childish and what-they-all-comment-about have grown emotionally "underdeveloped" themselves Yes!! And I know you don't mean to be harsh - I feel the same. I just dislike being spoonfed things and having obvious signposts in stories. Don't TELL me that a character is awesome and wonderful and expect me to just blindly agree with you ... show me how they're awesome and I'll come to the conclusion on my own, tyvm.

hee. See, this is one of the reasons I'm loving the new series - space for discussions like these. Mind if I friend you?
