New fic. Not sure how I feel about it, tbh ... TLOTTL makes it hard to write convincing Ten/Martha nowadays.

Just gone off to watch a couple of Life on Mars eps and came back to check my LJ with my fingers crossed ... feeling significantly comforted about this fic now. hee.

Thanks for the comment! And yeah, I kinda live vicariously through the characters I write. *cough* The Doctor may not have given Martha her full due at the end of the last episode, but that doesn't stop him being hotter than hell ...

Grinning here. I love sharing the Martha love ... particularly as I read far too many places where she's just not appreciated like she should be! I'm very glad you liked it.

Reading wonderful fics like this I forget that there is a lot of anti-Martha stuff out there. Which is good!

Perfect. Probably the best (and best thought out) post-finale Ten/Martha I've read. Also, yay for Tom!

Thank you, though. Really! I was worried it was rather too rambly and I reeeeally didn't want to make Martha this pathetic loser who couldn't go on without the Doctor patting her on the head, but at the same time I've felt since the finale that she deserved more than she got, whether she absolutely needed it or not. It's a hard balance to get in fic though ... you wouldn't believe the number of drafts I tore up where Martha just plain thwacked the Doctor, or got rather unnecessarily bitter and shouty at him. It took me realising that that was me being pissed at the Doctor after the finale, not Martha's voice, before I ripped those parts out.

Hopefully now she just reads as sassy, kick-arse and fantastic brilliant.

The feeling's entirely mutual. *huggles you* And I've always adored that icon. It's that look in his eyes that convinces me he's imagined kissing Martha the way I described ... though I guess I've thought that from pretty much the first moment he laid eyes on her in the hospital, and more particularly in the alleyway when he picks her up.

Ten/Martha UST burns me, it's that hot. *sigh*
