What the hell are Social Links?
00 → The Fool - Caim of Caerleon - voice_of_animus
Represents the beginning and suggests infinite possibilities.
The man who is not a stereotypical prince from a distant land, and most likely, an entirely different world. His kingdom was invaded by the opposing militia of demons, undead, monsters, and men. His friends and allies along the way died to the Gods' 'salvation'. Rendered mute for the sake of protecting the Goddess, Caim is a selfless man and has only been punished for his chivalry, causing him to be rather jaded, loathing, and cynical.
The only two people capable of controlling him have been lost. His younger sister transformed into a hideous creature, which he inevitably had to destroy. His dragon did not join him when he was plucked out of his world. Caim suffers, but due to his status, is forced to hold all of his pain and agony within.
He is slowly beginning to become more than simply a man driven by his madness. Or so it would seem. It could all simply be a façade.

Sasha's complicated. Well, from a first glance, she's not. Caim saw her once and felt there was a distinguished likeness with Angelus. While he appreciates the familiarity, Sasha's behaviour and overall composure leaves much to be desired.
He has neither like nor dislike for her. If anything, she is more a neutral being in his life. He finds no reason to protect her, but finds no immediate reason to end her life either. It wouldn't be difficult for her to tip the scales, though. In one direction or the other.

Caim does not like Byrne. At all. Well, all right. He tolerates the man, but that's about it. He's not interested in having anything further to do with such an arrogant creature.
On the other hand, for the first time at the masquerade (10/31), Caim didn't absolutely hate him. But how possible was it that Caim knew it was him in the first place? All the same, it could be said that he doesn't absolutely despise Byrne. Yet.

Riley is probably the closest thing Caim can consider to a 'best' friend. He wouldn't actually say it, but Riley's more the kind of person that Caim wishes Inuart had been back home.
Riley makes things a little more convenient. Up to this moment, Riley is the only one he doesn't have to write things down for. He's capable of communicating the same way with Caim, as the prince could with Angelus. This is both alarming and intriguing. Caim still believes that Riley has entered into a pact.

In the beginning, Caim attached himself to Ai under the pretense that he could only see Furiae's innocence in her. As time has passed and progressed, he has begun to see Ai for who she truly is and nowadays is completely capable of classing both young girls as separate people.
The issue that comes with this is that Caim must face his feelings for Furiae. There is the slightest concern he feels that he may filter these out onto Ai, who is uncorrupted and pure in all forms. This makes him want to protect her all the more, especially from himself.
To this moment, Ai is the only one who has a leash on Caim's sanity. She doesn't appear to know this, however.
