I had my last final of the semester today. I think it went pretty well. It was ancient lit, so it was 8 short essay questions and my hand about fell off, but thank goodness it's done. And I think done well. Grades come out the 8th, so we shall see.
My parents are leaving for Japan for two weeks this Friday, which is my mom's birthday. A pretty good present, I think. She's excited to be going back for a little while. Joe's still got school, so hopefully he doesn't have problems getting his butt up in the mornings, cuz I'm sure not. Not that early, anyway - I do start spring classes next Monday, but they don't begin until 9. I'm pretty excited about them. Am I a dork or what? Not so much for physics, but definitely for A&P. Though I imagine I'm gonna be pretty bored, cuz it's the same class I just finished taking, except this one's at MCC instead of UMF.
I'm doing some volunteering this summer. :D It's been so long since I've actually done long-term volunteer work - ASB was intense, but short-term, and the last volunteering I did was last spring at the hospital in Mt. Pleasant and with the CHIP program at school. I'm looking into doing an orientation to be an auxiliary member at Hurley at the end of May, and I'm going on Wednesday to check out a position called Health Navigator with a program called HOPE that works to increase the health status of people in unstable living conditions. I'm REALLY excited about that one - I hope it turns out to be everything I want it to be. I also called the Children's Museum about being a presenter for an educational program for kids about nutrition and anatomy, but the lady who is running that program hasn't called me back yet, so if she hasn't called by this evening with some info, I'll try her again tomorrow.
Work sucks. Only four more months. *sigh*
