Join the festivities at a rockin’ karaoke party to fundraise for Friedreich’s Ataxia Research at the UCLA Medical Center, led by Dr. Susan Perlman, MD.
What's Friedreich's Ataxia?
Friedreich's Ataxia (FRDA) is an extremely rare disease, with no approved medication, that typically begins in childhood or early adolescence with symptoms that are slow and progressive. These include muscle weakness in the arms and legs; loss of coordination, vision impairment, curvature of the spine (scoliosis), and various heart disorders including atrial fibrillation, and enlargement of the heart.
And if you aren't interested in those details, then come anyway because it’ll be outrageously fun! Find your inner American Idol - Mattingly’s will sell copious amounts of “liquid encouragement” to help. Don’t want to sing? Come to cheer on those who will and vote for the best!
$5 donation for admission
$2 donation per song
(Dinner not included in admission, but Mattingly’s offers delicious food and drinks.)
DJ Kevin Kirby (Springfield, IL) will be emceeing this awesome event.
