Observation of a dialysis patient
Being a dialysis patient means that you spend a lot of time in the hospital. Usually you get hooked up to the machines that take over the job that your kidney failedto do, for hours. It sucks, but then again, I guess it could be worse. Or so I always tell myself. At least I have entertainment here.
You know the medic series on TV called ‘ER’? Well, let me tell you that I have something much more entertaining than ER here. There is this one internist who is supposed to be this great genius. Genius yup, but a real pig and antisocial sod in the human department. His name is House. When ever someone gets an unknown case, the absolutely last station you can always try is House and his crew. He loves to solve mysteries and enjoys rare diseases as if they were expensive caviar.
But you probably ask yourself why this is so much more entertaining than ER, right? Well, you see House is a down right bastard, with everyone. And I mean everyone! But for some reason there are actually women working in his near surrounding that actually like him. Or at least want to get into the sack with him. There is this one brunette woman who seemed to share a past with him. I think she works in the office department or something.
But that didn’t really work out between them, because she was married to a guy who couldn’t walk, and who needed her. Oh, I forgot to mention that House is a cripple, kinda! He always walks on this crutch. But don’t let that fool you, because he defiantly isn’t an helpless or something. Far from it!
Anyway, so after her came one of his own interns. She was also a brunet. What a surprise! I don’t really think that he had any deep feelings for her, more like body, sexual attraction. Anyway, she stopped and then changed to a different department. Now she’s a blonde. I guess she really wanted to make a change. I sometimes wonder why she doesn’t just go to a different hospital… But I guess that she needs at least a daily fix of seeing him from afar. Weird.
And now, there is the boss of the hospital. She is actually a really nice woman. I have seen her twice and she actually stopped to talk to me, because she saw that I wasn’t feeling very well, and I was alone on the corridors.
She is kind of the superior to House. And whenever you see those two together, you see them fighting or bickering. That alone is very entertaining. Really! But now that their not really, but somehow yet still dating they try to hide that from the hospital staff…
Of course that doesn’t really work. All the nurses know about them. And that is how I usually get to know all the gossiping and the talk. The nice honey-blonde nurse usually tells me all about what happens between them, when the dark haired nurse isn’t around. I usually have chocolate and chips with me, munch them and enjoy the newest episode of gossip.
I guess it really could have gotten me worse. Imagine I was a dialysis patient somewhere in Austria, Europe, and had no entertainment to watch and listen to. Now that would be defiantly worse.
Might update this… don’t know yet…
