so, the frantic feeling has almost subsided - i've got mum a huge stach of DVDs - not sure how many she will actually like but since the most expencive was $14 (when harry met sally) and we got a free one she has about 7 dvds.. and on the way home i stopped by the elcheapo book place Ned got her a cople of cross word books and then at woolies we got mum a lilly... she is spoiled.. but since it's her 60th birthday and she is spending it in a home - awaiting her court date... i think she deserves it...
and i'm feeling fairly O'tay thanks to a call from a friend - whos number - like all the other numbers - are in my fone in wisemans ferry.. so sorry, no return call... but thank you!!
still no foolproof solution to contacting owen... thinking of a letter in plastic taped to the letterbox, and annother with the neighbours (for when arthur steals the one at mums house) but not surte when i'll get out there to do that...
in further issues - last night i found out that last time joe went to mums house arther was on the porch, then ran back into the house to lock it up as soon as joe started approaching.. he'd left his cheque book ont he step - joe had a look but didn't take it - there were a few stubbs made out to lawers - each in the value of $1000.. so it looks as though arthur will be showing up on Tuesday with a lawer... tomorrow i'll have to pull my finger out and call leagal aid methinks...
don't we all think it's noce that arthur won't sign a lease with the housing commision - only ever paid my mum $100 rent but has a few grand to be throwing at lawers???
meh, for now i'm just concentrating on the happy - i have mums gift.. i have friends who understand my absence at thier events, friends who fone just to check on me and friends who are willing to drive my ass across sydney to get mum into a home and who keep tabs on arthur. i have great friends...
the next few days will be fairly tough... but at eh end i know i'll have you fantabulous freaks to help keep my sanity... thank you, and yes, it's the small things that effect the small mind of the ernie
