a frightening magic i cling to

my easter holiday is over and ive just all unpacked after being dropped back at uni. my eye is fine now, by the way - had another check up on thursday and they discharged me, yay. although they did say that my eye has loads of scar tissue on the surface, so i really shouldnt wear contacts anymore =( im definately only going to wear them on rare occassions now, the last thing i want is to end up blinded!

so what have i spent my easter holiday doing? well, nothing productive! seeing family, and quite a few nights (and days) spent in the pub. the rest of my time ive been either re-watching my office DVD's or watching 19 episodes of prison break in 5 days. thats right folks, i have a new obsession! its been SO long since i had a TV show i was this into, and i had heard a lot of good things about it, but figured i watched enough damn TV shows as it is! then, my brother comes home for easter and happens to mention he has the entire series on his computer. and 5 days later, im obsessed! Its just so clever - the writing, the acting, the set. i can honestly say theres not a single character in it i dont like. and best episode? The Rat. i was on the edge of my seat the whole episode watching that, even though i knew there was no way he'd actually be killed. and of course, the fact that Wentworth Millers in pretty much every scene really helps me love it ;) although i think my favourite character is Lincoln - i always go for the tortured, sympathy guys! my only critism is that i really dont think the series can last for very long, so i hope it doesnt end up being dragged out and ruined.

now, about the office. i was a total geek and watched every episode, as well as all the DVD extra's including the documentaries, and Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant have to be the funniest double act ever. i was it stitches through the whole thing. it must have been so much fun filming the series with those 2 as producers! i do love the US version in its own little way, but im sorry the UK version is just genius. it may be more depressing at times, but i think its needed to make the ending so happy. i would absolutely love them to make some more episodes, but i dont think theres a cat in hell chance of it happening. i do think the ending is pretty perfect as it is anyway to be honest. the only thing im bitter about is that we never get to see a good scene of Tim & Dawn together, talking, all coupley - that would have been great. but never mind!

ugh back to placement on monday. i dont wannna get up at 5.30 *whines*. ah to be a normal, waster student with 8 hours of lectures a week ;)

oooh Liverpool have just scored again. hellloo FA cup final! =D ahh i love beating Chelsea - never gets old. I cannot WAIT for the world cup, by the way. i hope its a good one this year. and by that i mean i hope England dont a) get knocked out in the group stages or b) lose on penalties for the 1,57492 time.

easter, the office, prison break, football, nursing
