Scilly-ness

As my life has taken a rather drastic turn for the worse (I’ve traded in my own happiness so that someone I love dearly can find his own), I’ve decided to finally book my holidays. I had been waiting for him to let me know dates, but all he did was book holidays for himself!

So, first stop may now be the Scilly Isles. I’ll probably go via Penzance, spending a couple of days in Cornwall (I really have to see The Minack Theatre, I’ve been fascinated by it for ages) before spending another couple on Tresco. There’s loads of cool things to photograph there, so I’ll have to remember my camera. Sadly I can’t find a tiny cottage with free wifi on Scilly like I did on the Isle of Arran

However, I can visit Penennis Head. Which is quality!
(Yes, I am childish).

I was hoping to stay at Star Castle. It looks amazing and isn’t extortionate which a lot of places on St Marys are, but it may have to wait til I can go back again. I can see myself visiting more than once.

Looks like I may not be able to travel over by helicopter either as it is very, very expensive and with the weather this year being so dodgy I could have to take the boat over and not get a refund which would be poo. The boat takes ages, but is cheaper and you get some good views around Cornwall, and of course I am obsessed with the sea, so almost 4 hours of staring at it should be cool.

I’m really looking forward to going and venturing out to some of the uninhabited islands and just being on my own for a bit. I just wish more places were open off-season! I want to go NOW damnit!
