About us
Hello! We're Plures House, a co-operative plural system. We're physically in our early 30s. We're trans (trans male/genderqueer). We're autistic and have anxiety and depression, so some of our posts will be about dealing with mental health difficulties. This blog is primarily focussed on our daily life and interests, though we do talk about other subjects as well.

As individuals, we're quite diverse: many of us have different backgrounds, histories and cultural identities, which you'll probably see reflected in people's writing and forms of expression. We have fairly complex subjective individual identities. Our ages run from mid-teens to, well, ancient, although the majority of us are in our 20s or 30s.

Pronouns for currently active system-members:
He/him: Hess, James, Richard, Yavari, Morpheus, Noël, Matthew
She/her: Lilly
They/them: Zhizhu/The Keeper
More than one: Kerry (she or they), Em (they/them or xe/xir)

Other language things: we generally prefer plural grammatical forms with our system name ('Plures are', 'Plures were', etc). Non-humans don't mind being called 'people' here. We call ourselves 'people' or 'system members'; we dislike the words 'alters', 'personalities', 'ego states' or any other medicalised terms.

The vast majority of us are bibliophiles; we tend to amass a large number of books wherever we go. Most of them are social-science, linguistics or cultural-studies books, with a bit of science, history and fiction thrown in. (We're cat lovers too! You may hear about her in our posts sometimes.)

Many of our system members are very political - everyone who makes political posts leans to the left - and will make posts about it; our focus is admittedly on countries that we have more first-hand experience with but we do occasionally discuss other countries' politics. All of it is from a roughly internationalist perspective though; people here tend not to believe that any one country's politics should take precedence over others'.

As a rule we generally grant access and subscribe to most people who add us, unless we don't recognise you and your journal is completely devoid of content. Once we've granted you access, you can read our System Introductions post, which is stickied to the top of our journal. People who express bigotry towards marginalised communities will be banned.

This system journal has a liberal adding policy. Individual accounts are up to the discretion of the individual. Some of us are more willing to open their accounts up than others, like Kerry and Richard. Others' accounts are a bit more private. It really depends.

Basic rules
Don't be a dick! That means respecting our privacy, our identities, our beliefs and those of other people reading this journal. Do not start flame wars with other people commenting here. Do not try to dictate to us who we 'really' are. Disagreement and intellectual arguments are fine, but please do not make personal attacks whilst doing it.

Access/subscription
If we've had a relatively close relationship with you, revoking access is a very last resort. We don’t do it frequently, because we believe that problems should be handled through discussion and mediation before resorting to something like this. If you're hurt or offended by something someone says, try and go to them first, so that things don't get out of hand. Thanks. :)

Unsubscribing (while still allowing you access) is rare as well; it’ll generally happen when people here feel that your posts are difficult for us to keep up with, but still want to check you manually, rather than through the DW feed.

Disclaimer
Individual opinions are generally not to be viewed as collective opinions.

We use trigger warnings for -isms and phobias, abuse, death, murder, blood and medical-related topics. If you have individual triggers we will try and honour that if we know what they are.
-written by Kerry, Hess, Betony and Yavari for the system
