Cool! We loved the icon set and have been wanting to redesign our journals some. Jim & I have been working together on drawing a custom mood theme for ourselves and having a lot of fun with it, and really like the new icons from you guys. We'd been thinking that while we're changing things it would be neat to have a nicer journal layout too, with some kind of header image or something, but we don't know any CSS and we're not actually all that good at designing things with fonts or headers and so all attempts to make more interesting journal layouts/themes so far have pretty much been failures. I was actually angsting about this the other day, "Noes, I want a better journal layout but I can't make one, and trying to make one isn't being fun D:" We have a job and monies right now and you guys do awesome design work, so would be great to be able to commission you for journal layouts. Would you guys be up for doing 2 livejournal themes and a dreamwidth theme for us for $75 total?
Right, Dreamwidth layout is done. The preview is at my layout-testing Dreamwidth, and the necessary files (CSS code, installation instructions) are in this folder. It incorporates the vast majority of your favourite colours too! :3 The LJ ones should be finished by the end of the week, judging by how things are going right now. (Flexible Squares is easier to work with than Tabula Rasa, so that's a plus.) If you want any changes, I'll see how I can fix things up! ♥
I just realized something that I had spaced out on mentioning if I could get one thing changed- The mood theme that we've been making has a few pictures that I think only work on a white background. Would it be possible to switch the text area to dark text on a white background, maybe with the grey as a border or something?
Ooooh, I'll give that a go. I might even be able to change just the current area (mood, etc) to be white to match your mood theme. How large are the icons going to be?
I changed the entry background colour to white and fixed some of the link colours so they looked good against the new background. Preview, again, is at dw-edges, and the code is here.
OK, final layout is finished! The test journal is at sporkinstest, and the text file with the CSS is here. Like Jim's theme, this is also Flexible Squares, just done up in your (and e's, heh) preferred colours. :)
Yay! Okay that is awesome too. We finally got time to install all the layouts. Thank you!!! :D
Can I ask for one edit on this one- would it be possible to make the icons show up as their full square size instead of round? It is a cool effect but crops some of them a lot.
I really <3 the background with the robots! Jim keeps saying his layout makes him feel like a superhero.

The CSS text file to paste in is here, and the instructions are here.
Paste this url: http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Ubuntu:400,400italic,700,700italic into the 'external css' section so that Jim gets his custom font.

Paste this custom web font URL into the 'external CSS' field above the larger custom CSS field (just like the instructions on Jim's theme) - http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Crete+Round:400,400italic
