Shade on a paper with a pencil at a 45 degree angle. Each stroke should be about two to three inches long and move from right to left.Almost a scribble no need to be delicate. Make sure you press hard enough to cause the graphite to flake.
When I disconnect that is what I turn into. A shaded patch on a yellowed aged piece of parchment. That's what I am. Often times the scribbles vary in angle and level and look like a forced mountain range, and I am gliding above it. It starts in my throat and capsizes. My interior just folds into a thought, but a thought with visible mass.
