In times bygone, in a kingdom whose name is no longer known, there was a man who set off to make his fortune. Taking with him no more than a knife, a cup, and three pieces of gold, he donned his hood and his journey boots, and he set out at dawn on a road that ne'er had he walked before. At length, as the sun wheeled low in the sky to paint the land red, he came to a crossroads.
... Ah, but this poor minstrel's head is addled. Pray tell - which road thence did he choose?
