VOCALOID-flex
According to a news release by YAMAHA, as an upgrade to their VOCALOID engine, a new version(? D: ) that includes something called "VOCALOID-flex" is released today. It is basically the "speech" function for the vocaloid engine. Sadly, YAMAHA is only aiming to release this for business that hopes to use it and doesn't intend to release it to the general public.
If you want to play with it though, the very first product to use this engine?/function? is gonna be Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, using Kikuchi Yumi's voice. For those interested, the game's planned release date is April 29 for Japan, May 25 for North America, and May 27 for Europe. Even though I'm still firm on the idea that the English versions won't have it. >_>
