I forgot to tell everyone earlier... I saw Kenneth and Julie in Green Bay. Kenneth looks the same but Julie lost a lot of weight. She was heavy set a little before but now she's completely regular size. They were doing a documentary about Gene Vincent and they were interviewing people like Wonda Jackson and stuff.
Sam and I decided to not do the route 66 trip this summer. Instead, we decided to go to MEXICO! We're going to be staying in Brownsville, TX and traveling across the border every day to Matamoros Mexico. There is a beach there and little shops and retaurants and bars and all the little stereo-typical things I expect when I visit Mexican tourism. There will be people in sombreros and ponchos serenading us at a taco dinner. I am even more excited about our trip now than I was before now that I know I don't have to drive 1800 miles one way! I will bring back cheap souviners, cheap ones I repeat. I don't have THAT much money. We will be walking across the border or taking a cab or a shuttle and backpacking the whole time. Need a new backpack and a digital camera.
