nope. you're right. I had thought when David was forced to fight his attacker was a separate episode, but you're right--he's pretty much agoraphobic at that point and is forced to face the red hoodie of DOOM in the final ep. and THEN the awesomest final montage of all time with Claire in the car happens.
one of the finest hours of television ever recorded, IMO.
but as I recall, it was kind of a professional job--it wasn't just a convenience store type of heist. He was in an armored truck, and a couple of guys overpowered and shot him. And I recall that it was his own business, so he worked well into his autumn years.
but yes...the football scene...that was quite tender. maybe I need to start watching that series again. We just rewatched the Gilmore Girls (because hilariously enough, D loves GG) and now we're watching Lost. Maybe when we're done with Lost we'll rewatch SFU.
